Ojibwe Turtle Blossom
By Kaylene Big Knife
Digitally illustrated by Chippewa Cree artist, Kaylene J. Big Knife, this art piece features a contemporary Ojibwe (a.k.a. Chippewa) turtle with blossoms, berries, and stars. This artwork was the first rendition of this art piece featuring my favorite color scheme, a dreamy gradient of purple, scattered with bubbles and pollen. The background is meant to represent the turtle's swimming path, so the sun is overhead and not under the turtle (a bird's eye view). As such, it appears the turtle is about to swim over the sun's reflection. ❀❀❀❀ This print can be purchased in the following three options: a poster, a Giclee print, and a framed Giclee print.
